Regarding the maintenance of labor books of refugees from Ukraine

According to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, foreign citizens and stateless persons are employed and hired according to the general rules of labor legislation.

Regarding foreign citizens' labor books, Russia has forms for labor books with equal validity of 1938, 1974 and 2004 samples. So if a citizen's labor book corresponds to the 1938 or 1974 sample it is to be filled with records of employment. If the labor book is of a different type, the employer must draw up a new labor book of Russian type for each employee who has worked for more than 5 days.

If a foreign citizen or a stateless person does not have a labor book, the employer determines from the candidate's words the level of his training, as well as work experience in a specialty in a certain industry. At the same time, in accordance with the Letter of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation dated April 22, 2022 No. 16-3/10/B-5324, when applying for a job a trial may be established.
